Wimbledon 2016

I had the joy of attending Wimbledon on Sunday, which was men's finals day, along with a few other finals too. We didn't get lucky enough to have Centre Court tickets, but we did have Court 1, which was pretty impressive in itself.

Court 1 was hosting three games; boys' singles, ladies' invitation doubles and boys' doubles. But the main buzz around Wimbledon was obviously having Andy Murray on Centre Court for the men's singles final. We ended up watching most of the Murray vs. Raonic match up on Henman Hill/Murray Mound, which was great, with the sun beaming down on the packed hill full of cheering fans, for both the Brit and Canadian players alike.

We did see some of the action on Court 1, with some exciting tennis from the boys' singles and doubles matches. We saw a set of each match played, with Denis Shapovalov winning the singles, and then battling it out in the doubles too! It was quite something being on Court 1, it was far bigger than we expected, so couldn't even imagine the scale of Centre Court and the atmosphere there must have been in there!

I'll definitely be entering the ballot again next year, and hopefully Andy Murray can keep up the good form and reign supreme again in 2017! Good work, Murray!
