Skins is a leading international sportswear brand with retailers in 31 countries. It offers advanced compression clothing, designed to enhance speed, stamina and recovery in a variety of sports.

The challenge

Having won sponsorship rights with Australia’s Wallabies for the Lions Tour, Skins requested help from Clevercherry to develop brand awareness and promote its competition to win a 13-day trip to Australia.

Our strategy

We went with strong visuals that would catch the attention of rugby fans and convey the competition message as concisely as possible. Teamed with a bold headline, the powerful image represented the clash between the English and Australian teams.

We created the unexpected

The concept was rolled out across Skins retailers, and a targeted media campaign included ads in key rugby publications. It paved the way for a stronger look and feel for the brand, while retailer feedback suggested an increase in consumer interest.
