Social media campaign

Attended by around 25,000 brides-to-be each year, The National Wedding Show is the UK’s largest wedding event, with shows in London, Birmingham and Manchester.

The challenge

The show’s organiser, Ocean Media, was keen to engage the National Wedding Show’s large social audience, promote ticket sales and strengthen its position as the go-to brand for all things wedding related.

Our strategy

To increase awareness and following, we planned a Facebook competition that encouraged fans to share their wedding inspiration. This was supported by a 10-week content strategy for Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, with relevant, shareable material.

We created the unexpected

Facebook following grew by a massive 37,458 new fans, with 614 competition entries and 1,240,276 users reached by Facebook ads. An organic increase of 3,931 Twitter followers and 267,670 website visits were further evidence of the campaign’s success.
