This week, Clevercherry sponsored the first 24-hour hackathon organised by Birmingham City University, BCUHack.
Alex and Radu went over to Millenium Point to set a challenge for the student groups. It was great getting to see the teams so excited about the 24-hour straight session and they created some amazing apps.
Our challenge was pretty simple and open enough to allow the teams plenty of creative freedom: use a social media API in an innovative way. Our favourite submission was by the UniCode team, which consisted of nicely polished programming trivia game, based on tweets containing a certain hashtag.
It was a great experience and we're happy we could be part of this event, which helped computer science students get stuck into the exciting domain of web development.
