To me, work used to mean boredom and structure. But, my stay at Clevercherry has changed that and has proved me totally wrong!
As soon as the door opened and I headed to my desk, welcoming “Hellos” and “Good mornings” were sent my way. The nerves I had felt in the morning suddenly disappeared, and I knew I would be given a true insight into what work could be. The atmosphere was super friendly and I could tell from the moment I arrived that everyone was like family.
Straightaway I was given a project which involved creating my own social network. I was excited as I had lots of ideas running through my mind. Determined to show what I was capable of, I got straight to work. Although I did find some difficulty when transferring my ideas on to the software, the team were very understanding and offered me help when needed. I am extremely grateful for all of their help, as without it I wouldn’t have been able to complete my project to the standard I did.
Throughout my week every single one of the team ensured my time at Clevercherry was enjoyable and for that I am truly thankful. As I had no previous experience working in an agency, doing a week at Clevercherry was an extraordinary experience. I have learnt so many transferable skills and improved lots of existing skills that I already had. I have also gained a considerable amount of knowledge through working with a lot of people, as I was able to monitor the way the team worked together.
This experience has moved me and changed my attitude towards the world of work. I feel honoured to have spent a week at Clevercherry and thank them for the unforgettable and eye-opening experience. I would also like to say a special thank you to Lauren for making me feel so welcome from the very start and introducing me to the lovely team.
