Silicon Canal Tech Awards 2016

Last week we attended the very first Silicon Canal Tech Awards, proud to have been shortlisted for Small Company of the Year! A bunch of us headed down to Boxxed in Digbeth for an evening of food, drinks, and celebrations.

There were nine awards in total, covering various areas within the tech industry, such as developers, investors, influential individuals and more. We were one of three companies hoping to bag the “Small Company of the Year” award, with Braci also hoping to take home the award and Smart Antenna Technologies taking home the title.

Sadly, the event wasn’t quite the smoothest of nights. In the words of the Silicon Canal team themselves, they hoped for a “beta” version, but it was more like the “alpha”!

Our congratulations go out to the award winners, and to Silicon Canal for their efforts, and hopefully they can take a lot from the event and work towards a smoother ceremony in 2017.
